The Perfect Browser for a Tabbed Browsing Addict

I have a confession to make: I am a tab addict. I love middle-clicking links to create new tabs; in fact, I’m fairly certain I open more tabs than I actually navigate to different URLs on the same tab. For me, it’s just how I do my research on the web. I like keeping old sites open in the chain of my research, so that I can get back to them easily for more information or perhaps further resources.

Backstory

I’ve used multiple browsers in my web surfing history. I still use multiple browsers. I used Firefox when it first came out, I’ve tried Opera and Safari on multiple occasions, and I tried out Chrome immediately as it was released. Over the past year or so, I have been flip-flopping between Chrome and Firefox, trying to decide which browser was best for my browsing needs and habits.

Chrome vs Firefox

This decision can come down to taste, user interface, or aesthetics, but for myself, I based it primarily on usability. Throughout my extensive use of both browsers, I noticed some general trends for both of them. For Firefox, I noticed the following pros and cons:

Has lots of addons.
Can specify it to incredible degrees.
Can get a bit bulky and buggy over time.

For Chrome, I’ve noticed the following trends:

Addons (known by Chrome as extensions) came late and still aren’t as numerous as Firefox.
Incredibly lean and space-efficient user interface.
Very quick, crisp, and hardly bulky at all.

I generally compare Chrome to a sports car while I compare Firefox to a nice-looking eighteen-wheeler truck. Chrome is good at getting you around the web in a fast and efficient manner. Firefox is good at giving you blogging addons, tab session addons, and any other addons you think you would ever need to survive a post-apocalyptic web-browsing situation.

Why I’m Currently Using Chrome

Because Firefox is the addon king, I had been using this browser quite a lot for the past year or so. However, I have been noticing increasing problems with certain types of video players as well as slow and laggy tab/window transitions on the browser (this lag had nothing to do with my internet speed or any performance issues on my computer as Chrome worked fine with equal amounts of tabs).

The one thing that kept me dedicated to using Firefox was the TabGroups ManagerAddon which give you an additional tab bar to create group tabs (basically the equivalent of folders) to organize your tabs. In a way, I still do miss this addon, as I haven’t quite found one on Chrome that replicates the awesome tabbed browsing experience I get from this one; however, I have found a Chrome extension that works well enough for me to switch browsers.

An extension on Chrome called Tab Manager convinced me to switch over to Chrome. It allows me to group and organize tabs through different windows of chrome. Best of all, it allows me to see which tabs I have open in which windows, select multiple tabs by holding down shift, and drag multiple tabs into different windows.

Combine this with Session Manager (which saves all the windows and tabs you currently have open in Chrome), and you have an awesome tabbed browsing experience that allows you not only to group tabs into windows quickly but also save all of your windows and restore them at any time.

Trick to Lock Folder Without any Software

Securing confidential and personal data is always considered as a sophisticated task.You can use freeware third party softwares like Axcrypt, Disguise Folders etc to encrypt your data.If somehow you can’t use these softwares (installation restrictions) then you can secure your data using notepad.This trick works in windows xp,vista and windows 7.

Trick to Lock Folder without any Software

Open Notepad [Start-->Run-->Notepad].
In your Notepad just Copy/Paste the below code.

In the above batch code the password has been set as tipstricks.You can change it by editing the following line

if NOT %pass%==tipstricks goto FAIL

Now save this notepad file as yourfoldername.bat ,here .bat is extension of your file. For now I am creating pctipstricks.bat file.

Now a .bat (system) file will be created.

Double Click on this .bat file and you will see a Locker Folder at the same location where your .bat file is saved.

Double click on that Locker folder and store your personal data in it.
After storing all your data in that folder again double click on .bat file and pressY there to Lock the folder and press Enter.

Now your Locker will hide and only .bat file will be there.
Double Click on this .bat file and give your password (here tipstricks) and hitEnter.

That’s it. Now every time you want to open your secret folder you have to enter the password. You can update this folder any time and infinite number of times.

DOWNLOAD YOUTUBE’S VIDEOS VIA GOOGLE CHROME

If you prefer to use Google Chrome for browsing on the internet, you can use one of the extensions that function displays the download button when opening one of the youtube video page on the site.

The extension name is Chrome Youtube Downloader. Use with the following steps :

1. Open Google Chrome

2. Visit ChromeExtensions.org to install Chrome Youtube Downloader

3. Then click the Add button to Chrome to install on the browser Chrome / Chromium you use. The button is in the upper right (which signs +)

4. After successful installation, you will be taken on the settings page. Just select ‘Classic Download’ on the Style Button option.

5. Visit Youtube video page (which you want to download of course). It would appear the button to download that is located below the box. If the button is not appear, playing the video ‘streaming’ for the firt time. I’ll definitely button will appear. just click the download button to download the video immediately.

In the list that appears when you click the download button, please select the quality / type / format of the video you want. Then wait for the download to complete.

UnInstall/Remove software/programs in Ubuntu

Method #1 : Using Synaptic Package Manager

Open Synaptic package manager and search for the program/packages you want to remove then mark the box for removal/complete removal(it may create dependencies problem so better go with other). Then click on Apply button to remove the selected packages. In the above picture, I’ve selected the program named – ‘tango GPS’ for removal.

Method #2 : From Command Line

The most common type of syntax for removing a program/package is explored below but you need to authorize (Enter your login password) and confirm (Type y for ‘yes’ or n for ‘no’, if you have changed your mind); then wait for few seconds until the job is complete.

$ sudo apt-get remove program_name_you_want_to_remove

Here is one real example,which will remove the kdissert, a mind map tool, program with the command -

$ sudo apt-get remove kdissert

Hello friends! How are you? I can`t post any article last 2 days because i am too busy. Okay today i am going to post a awesome tricks for gprs settings. Last few months the . Now, the use of S40 cell phone is more but in this to make gprs setting is very difficult and take much time and some time we have to wait few hours to download gprs setting in our phone.

When we using gprs handler like opera etc then we have to make own gprs settings.So the following way is very easy to make gprs setting.
